To address the unplanned and scattered industrial investments in Gebze and its surroundings, along with Istanbul, Turkey's largest metropolis, and to bring these investments under control within a specific planning framework and utilizing the opportunities provided by the "Organized Industrial Zones" Law, the Mixed Organized Industrial Zone was established on 130 hectares in the north of Gebze district in Kocaeli province on January 5, 2001, with registration number 45 from the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Our Organized Industrial Zone contains a total of 105 parcels, including 70 industrial parcels, 2 administrative and social facility areas, 15 park areas, 1 educational area, 8 transformer areas, 2 commercial areas, 2 forest areas, 2 wastewater treatment plant areas, and 1 health protection area.
Approximately 160 companies operate in our region, mainly in the metal, automotive, chemical, and logistics sectors.
Within our Organized Industrial Zone, there is a kindergarten with a capacity of 160 students, a private Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School with a capacity of 2160 students, a private Vocational Training Center with a capacity of 2220 students, 6 bank branches, 4 restaurants, and a walking trail along the Yumurgaya stream.
There are no industrial plots available for allocation in our region, and our expansion efforts are ongoing.
